Privacy Policy

This policy explains what AgentoolRank (“we”), operated by TENSO LLC (Colorado, USA), collects and why. You can browse the site, use the API and MCP server, and read every tool page without an account. We have no user accounts and no passwords.

What we collect

• Anonymous visit statistics, without cookies (details below).
• Tool submissions: the tool’s name, website, tagline and optional GitHub link, and your email address.
• Payments for paid listing options or the Submit Kit. Card details are entered on Stripe’s checkout page and never reach our servers.
• Newsletter: your email address, if you subscribe.
• Questions you type into the AI search at /search.
• API and MCP usage: which endpoint or tool was called, whether it worked and how long it took.
• Email you send us at hello@agentoolrank.com.

The only personal detail we ask for anywhere is an email address. We do not store IP addresses.

Visit statistics

We run our own visit counter. There is no third-party analytics service and no advertising tracker. Your browser sends us:

• Pages and sources: the page path you view, without query strings; the referring site’s domain only; and any ref or utm_* tag in the link you arrived from.
• Time and scrolling: how long you stayed on a page, in seconds, and how far you scrolled, as a percentage.
• Clicks: a button’s fixed internal name or the site path a link points to; for links to other sites, only that site’s domain. Never link text or anything you type.
• Key buttons seen: whether a few key buttons (for example the submit and buy buttons) appeared on your screen, at most once per browser tab.
• Device and country: whether your device has a touch screen, and your country as reported by our host, Vercel. We check your browser’s user-agent to filter out bots but do not store it.

Events are linked by a random ID kept in your browser tab’s session storage. It is discarded when you close the tab, so it cannot recognise you on a later visit. Events contain no name, email address or IP address, are stored in our own database and are not shared with anyone. When you start a checkout or submit a tool, we save the source tag (or the referring domain) with it, so we know which channels bring paying customers.

Like any website, our hosting provider processes technical request data, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver pages and protect the service from abuse.

Tool submissions

When you submit a tool (on /submit, through the API or through the MCP server), we store the tool details, your email address, the source tag described above and the time. We use your email address only to tell you when your page is live and, if you pay, to send your receipt and order details. It is never shown on the site.

To review a submission we fetch the tool’s website and README and pass them, with the name and tagline, to an AI model. Your email address is not included. If you paste a GitHub link, we look up that public repository on GitHub to prefill the form.

Payments

• Paid listing options: we send Stripe your submission email, the tool’s page name, the plan and the source tag. We keep the plan, amount, Stripe session ID and source tag, not your card details.
• Submit Kit: Stripe collects your email address at checkout and tells us. We keep it with the Stripe session ID and a one-way hash of your access key (never the key itself), and we email you the key once. The key expires after 30 days.

Newsletter

If you subscribe, we store your email address and send the weekly email through Brevo. Every email has an unsubscribe link; unsubscribing deletes your address from the list.

AI search

Questions you type into the AI search are sent to our AI model provider, DeepSeek, to generate the answer. Don’t type personal or confidential information. Your last few searches are kept in your own browser’s local storage, not on our servers. If you choose to save a generated tool stack, it is published on the site.

API and MCP server

For each call we log the time, the endpoint or tool, whether it succeeded, how long it took, a short fingerprint of your API key if you use one, and the first word of your client’s user-agent (for example “curl”). API keys need no email address. We store a hash of the key (never the key itself), plus an optional label you give it and a source tag. Rate limits use your IP address in memory only; it is never written to our database.

Emails to maintainers

We sometimes email the maintainer of a listed open-source project once, using a contact address published on the project’s own website or README, to tell them about their page. We keep a record that we sent it. Reply “no” and we will never email that address again.

Who processes data for us

We don’t sell personal data or share it for advertising.

Cookies and browser storage

We don’t set cookies. We use your browser’s session storage for the random visit ID and the source tag, which are discarded when you close the tab, and local storage for your recent AI searches. Our own team also sets a local-storage flag on our own browsers so our visits aren’t counted.

Keeping and deleting data

We keep submissions, orders and visit statistics while the site runs, so we can show listings, honour paid options and answer questions about them. To have your email address and submissions deleted, email hello@agentoolrank.com from that address. We do it within 30 days and confirm by email. Stripe keeps payment records as required by law.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing hello@agentoolrank.com. If you are in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority.

Changes

If we change what we collect, we update this page and the date at the top.
