Where to submit an AI tool

We submitted our own products to 101 launch directories and recorded what each one asks for. 60 of them accept an AI tool. These are the first 10, ordered by how much they are worth your time: a free option without a badge or backlink condition first, then the link type we measured on a live listing.

Our own run so far: we submitted agentoolrank.com to 41 directories; 7 are live, 4 with a followed link. Most free listings take days to weeks.

52 directories we would not submit an AI tool to. In our runs: 23 want a badge or backlink first; 9 are paid only; 6 blocked us outright; 5 have a broken form; 3 make you vote for others first; 3 want a badge, backlink or votes first; 2 had other problems (hijacked page, credentials demanded); 1 reject new domains. The Submit Kit names them, with the reason for each, so you don't spend an afternoon on them.

The full Submit Kit adds the next 20 for an AI tooland the “don’t submit” list with reasons (paid-only, badge-for-link, broken forms, auto-reject of new domains), $29 one-time. Your agent can also get this list over MCP with recommend_directories.

FAQ

How many directories accept an AI tool?
60 of the directories we tested accept an AI tool and are worth submitting to. 13 of them have a free listing with no badge, backlink, post or queue condition.
Can an AI agent submit an AI tool to these directories?
On 35 of the 60 an agent could finish the form alone in our runs. The rest need one human step such as an inbox link, a captcha or a real name; the Submit Kit lists those steps so you can do them in one sitting.
Do these directories give dofollow backlinks?
We checked the live link on 18 of the 60; 3 were dofollow. Where we did not check, the list says unknown rather than guessing. No listing promises traffic or rankings.
